Waiting….

As a person waiting has never been easy, it is especially worse as a parent waiting to hear something about your child. What is even more challenging is not letting your worry come across to your kids. This thought has always been conveyed since being a parent, never let the kids see you worry, be strong for the kids. However I have always found this advice hard to follow. As parents it is our job to teach our kids how to handle everything life could possibly throw at them. Yes this can seem like an impossible and daunting endeavor, but those two words describe all things parenting. As a mom I find that it is important to show my kids that it is important to express your worry. It does not make you weak or anything that society would have you believe. So I sit here on a Saturday and continue to wait. I will talk with my daughter every few days and make sure she isn’t worried as we wait. There is definitely a fine line that I have to walk because if I ask to much then I could cause my daughter to worry. Parenting is hard and it is 100% ok to say and accept that.
